Interesting perspective. And very right too. We often want to do something big, or become famous, just to get that rush from how others will perceive our victory. None of these famous people will talk openly (or may not have even thought) of the things they've sacrificed at the altar of their obsessions.
Well what a coincidence. I created a note last Saturday with the title ‘key to happiness is balance’ (hoping to expand it) and woah I find you sharing this thought here, and you have captured it nicely.
Since that thought, I have started seeing the idea of ‘balance’ working nicely everywhere. I believe in the idea but as you said time will tell whether compounding plays or not. But good to know someone else feeling the same at the same moment.
Starting to look forward to your articles. Always well written and honest. Just a question and possibly a subject for a future article. You are an entrepreneur and must have deal with many different subjects to run your business. How do you do that? As your experience is of marketing. So the question is can people have many passions and work towards them and make something out of many passions?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and normalising life Shashank. I don't know why yearning for 'family first, health first' virtues are seen as non ambitious or mild mannered. As I see my aging parents or my kiddo learning to pick up a tennis racket, I want to be there in every possible way. Because this will never come back.

Just one question for Shashank.. do u think a VC funded company really has the liberty to do this?
Good question. I am finding out the answer everyday. Apart from the first 1-3 years which are madness (rightly so) - my answer is tending to yes.
Good read Shashank. Looks like you also write the whole truth 😀
Very punny.
So well written, nice to see someone write about balance for a change and not the over rated hustle culture
